Discovering more properties of the Fibonacci sequence

Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges 24(5), 130-135.

ISSN/ISBN: 1937-4771 DOI: Not available at this time.

Abstract: The Fibonacci sequence can be the basis for many straightforward programming assignments in CS1. This paper describes a computational experiment: determine if this sequence conforms to Benford's Law. Once that correlation has been observed, another related experiment can be assigned. The analysis concerning the reasons behind one, or both, of these results can be an optional bonus component to the assignment
