Abstract: The paper presents a description of Benford's law. The law relates to a distribution of digits on the most significant positions in numbers. Thanks to its application any intentionally forgery or incorrectness measurement methodology (also failures caused by gauges) could be easily detected. The law itself has a general nature, so it is applicable to any kind of measurement data. Because of the pure theoretically mathematical form of the paper, its worth to look on the issue in the context of measurement telecommunication data.
