Abstract: That simulation game algorithms behave validly is an obviously essential property underlying the effectiveness of simulations. While algorithmic validation does have a philosophical tradition, relatively few empirical validation studies have actually been undertaken. This study positions a mathematical law based in digital analysis as a viable criterion for simulation game algorithm validation and, by application, establishes the validity of a popular marketing management simulation game against that criterion.
